End of School Year Information

Phillis Wheatley Elementary  2019-2020 End of the Year Information

Summer Hours:

June 1 - June 5 Mon- Fri  7:30 am -  4:30 pm
June 8 - June 10 Mon - Wed 7:30 am  - 4:30 pm
June 11- July 30 Mon- Thurs 7:00 am -  5:30 pm 
July 31 (normal hours resumed) Mon - Fri  7:30 am -  4:30 pm 


Grab and Go or Summer Meal Service:

Grab and Go meals will continue to be distributed at Phillis Wheatley ES.  Meal distribution times are Monday through Thursday 9 am - 12 pm.  Parents and children must remain in their vehicles.  

2020 Summer Distance Learning info: 
-June 2 through June 25
-School will be closed every Friday except June 5
-Selected students must have a completed registration form


Info for 3rd - 5th Graders:
Selected 3rd grade students and all 4th and 5th grade students with district issued laptops will keep them during summer distance learning.  Laptops remain with with students until further notice.  
Summer Reading Challenge 

Become a PWE Summer Reading Champion by reading!!!!! Use this form to log your book titles and minutes! To be a Reading Champion you will need to read, read, read! The challenge will be from May 27, 2020 and ends August 10, 2020. Read the books you have at home, log on to Epic (https://www.getepic.com), or use the Library Research Tool app on launchpad to get your virtual library card and begin to check out books. Please click on "Summer Reading Challenge" above for more details.
